Dr. Gita Sinha, is an Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases at JHU. Dr. Sinha completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at Stanford University School of Medicine. She trained in internal medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School and completed her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at JHU.


During her training, Dr. Sinha participated in several community clinical and public health projects in Boston, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Nepal, and India. Her current research has focused on HIV testing and care utilization and associated clinical outcomes in rural India. She has an active interest in multi-sectoral partnerships for clinical services, health care worker capacity building, and community-based research. In India, she currently collaborates with non-governmental organizations including the Institute of Health Management, Pachod (IHMP) (Maharashtra) and the Dr. S.N. Medical College of Jodhpur (Rajasthan).
