2. In the box, type WINVER and click OK.

How do I find out which Windows media player my computer uses?
To find the version number you must first open Windows Media Player. Follow these instructions:
1. Click the START button in the bottom left part of the screen and select PROGRAMS.
2. Select the ACCESSORIES folder and then the ENTERTAINMENT folder.
3. In the Entertainment folder, select WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER to open the player.
4. Click HELP on the Windows Media Player menu bar and select ABOUT WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.
5. The window that appears will display the version of the media player.
